Hyperhidrosis: Innovation in context
A major, global pharmaceutical business came to Firefish with some new dosing innovations for a new topical hyperhidrosis treatment.
We let people live with a range of pack innovations for a new topical hyperhidrosis treatment, ensuring the final design worked discreetly and easily ‘in life’.
As tactility was key, we wanted to ensure that the new designs were able to work in the real world and so ensured people trialed each pack by incorporating it into their daily routine. Their usage experiences were then followed up with depth interviews in UK, USA and Japan.
Our research validated the need for a new dosing format based on current products available, while also identifying an optimum design, with a few recommendations for improvement.
We also left the client with a more in-depth understanding of what it is to suffer from the condition, across physical, psychological and social contexts, for future comms and innovation work.
