People in UK turning to DIY health treatment amid shortage of GP appointments

This is an interesting and important article - though perhaps not a big surprise to many of us when you think about it.

Stress on the NHS often is often portrayed in the as being a part of an acute situation - the 'winter crisis', the Covid effect, pay and post Brexit recruitment problems etc. At some point, you can only really see it as a macro trend with the things like self treatment and the need for people to access private services as the consequences of this shift. It all creates some important changes that we need to consider and accommodate such as the changing roles for patients,

HCPs and healthcare businesses and the way in which this all drives as those with the least resources to draw on (and often a greater share of problems too) are hit hardest. So ... is this a crisis, some crises, a perfect storm or just the new normal?
